Our Story

A Family Kitchen

Kruathai is our family's kitchen — more than forty years of grandmother's recipes, brought home to Atlanta in a craft bar built for today.

Executive Chef Noon

Executive Chef · ครัวไทย

Executive Chef Noon grew up beside her grandmother in Thailand, learning the recipes that became part of our family's story. Two decades on the line later, she leads the kitchen at Kruathai.

She pounds her own curry pastes in copper mortars. She breaks down whole fish. She blends Thai-inspired cocktails behind the bar. Kruathai is her kitchen — and the next chapter of a family story that's been cooking for more than forty years.

The Family Kitchen

Family recipes, made with love

More than forty years ago, our grandmother opened a small kitchen in Thailand with a few family recipes and a love for cooking. People kept coming back — the food was simply unforgettable.

Later, our father opened another location so more people could enjoy her dishes. The family also operates Bangkok Station Thai Food (since 2015) and Silom Thai Sushi (since 2019) — and at Kruathai, in Perimeter Center, Dunwoody, we continue what she began.

We grew up beside her in the kitchen, learning the recipes that became part of our family's story. Today we serve the dishes she created — with small touches for today, always true to the authentic Thai flavors she loved.

The Room

Bangkok at golden hour.

Hand-painted murals of the Chao Phraya river. Crystal chandeliers, blue velvet, marble bartops, Thai laser-cut screens, hanging florals at the door. Every corner of the dining room is built to feel like an evening in old Bangkok — but plated for today.
